CREATING CLARITY

CREATING CLARITY image

How can we create more ease in our lives by creating a bit more clarity where things are squishy or ambiguous?

This might mean creating an agenda for the meeting instead of winging it.

It could mean clarifying whether we really need an hour or if 20 minutes might be plenty.

It might mean asking up front - what are you expecting from me, and what am I expecting from you?

It might mean clarifying that yes, this is a business lunch and no, this is not a date.

It could mean asking ‘what would you like from me?’ or ‘how can I best support you?’ rather than jumping in with immediate advice.

Life is messy and humans are complicated, which means that we will always experience some level of ambiguity — this is part of being human. But often, there are small but impactful things we can do to create a bit more clarity - and therefor a bit more ease - for all involved, along the way.

Some questions to consider might be:

  • What is our shared purpose?

  • What is our compelling ‘why?’

  • How do we want to proceed from here?

  • What are your expectations for me?

  • What are my expectations for you?

Any areas of your work or life where you’re practicing creating greater clarity?
